A major component of the conference is the focus on evangelism through Alpha in the Workplace. On Day 2 and Day 3 there will be workshop sessions for all conference delegates to attend:
Track 1: Starting Alpha in the Workplace
This track is for those who have not been on an Alpha Course. The three workshops include talks, demonstrations and discussions on how to use Alpha to reach out to colleagues in a relational way.
Track 2: Keeping Alpha Going and Growing
This track is for those who have been on an Alpha Course, and would like to learn to grow and sustain the course beyond 1 or 2 seasons.
Maestro Worklife Coaching e-System
(Day 3 session presented by Maestro creator Doug Spada)
Maestro enables flexible workplace discipling. Alpha Course graduates mature in Christ as they pair up to work through worklife issues such as clarity, balance, relationships, skills, influence and calling.

Dr Dion Forster is a marketplace-minister and academic. He is married to Megan and they have two children. Dion is the former Dean of John Wesley College, the seminary of the Methodist Church of Southern Africa. He serves as a chaplain to the Global Day of Prayer / Unashamedly Ethical movements and the Power Group of companies in Cape Town, South Africa.
Dion teaches and is a research associate in Systematic Theology at the University of Stellenbosch (Ekklesia). He also serves as the ‘social media coordinator’ for the Lausanne movement which met for the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization in Cape Town.
Dion holds a PhD in theology and science (neuroscience, artificial intelligence and identity). His most recent book, written with Graham Power, is entitled ‘Transform your work life: Turn your ordinary day into an extraordinary calling’ (Struik, 2010).
Doug, a decorated Navy veteran, served during the cold war onboard US Navy fast–attack nuclear submarines. He was an instructor at the Navy’s top–secret nuclear training facility at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory. Doug has received numerous commendations including an Admiral’s Citation and the Navy Achievement Medal during his career.
In addition to his education in engineering, Doug received a degree in Business Organizational Management. He started Utili-Tech, Inc. and developed it into a flourishing energy and utility services firm in Southern California during the 1990’s - servicing such Fortune 500 clients as ARCO, Texaco, Exxon, and Great Western Bank.
Doug innovated WorkLife Maestro, a self-directed online coaching system, using unique assessment tools and a comprehensive database of faith and work subject matter to deliver coaching and discipleship technology. Maestro WorkLife Coaching meets the real needs of working believers by helping them grow in practical ways and navigate critical issues they face each day at work.
Doug is the author of “Monday Morning Atheist” a compelling work on why Christians turn off God at Work.
A civil engineer, Tan Sri Francis took over the running of YTL in 1988 and grew it into a global conglomerate comprising of six listed companies, with a combined market capitalisation of over RM34.3 billion and assets of over RM45 billion as at 31 January 2011.
Ranked as one of “Asia’s 25 Most Powerful and Influential Business Personalities” by Fortune and Business Week, he is an Ernst and Young Master Entrepreneur; Founder Member of Malaysian Business Council and Capital Markets Advisory Council; and Member of Asia Business Council, London Business School, Wharton School and INSEAD.
A firm believer in Godly stewardship, Tan Sri Francis champions YTL as a force for good. He advocates environmental conservation and clean renewable energy, serving on Nature Conservancy’s Asia Pacific Council. He is also Regional Chairman of International Friends of the Louvre and the primary driving force behind Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre.
In recognition of his many endeavours, Tan Sri Francis was awarded the Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2006.
In 2010, he was made ‘Primus Inter Pares’ Honouree of the Oslo Business for Peace Award by a panel of Nobel Laureates, for actively advocating socially responsible business ethics and practices. He is also recipient of the Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the 2010 CNBC’s Asia Business Leaders Awards.
Tan Sri Francis is holder of an Honorary Doctorate of Engineering from University of Kingston (UK), his alma mater.
He married Puan Sri Dato’ Paduka Rosaline in 1982. They have 3 sons and 2 daughters.
Graham accepted Christ as his savior in 1999 – an event that transformed his own life, his family and his business.
In 2001, Graham was the visionary leader who initiated a gathering in Cape Town that saw 45,000 Christians fill Newlands Stadium to pray for the needs of their nation. Today this movement has become the largest prayer gathering in recorded history, where people from every country in the world participate annually in the Global Day of Prayer on Pentecost Sunday. Graham is also the founder of the Unashamedly Ethical Campaign. This campaign promotes values, ethics and clean living across all sectors of society. This campaign is currently sweeping South Africa and is bringing about a tangible change to the lives of individuals, and even whole companies.
Graham is married to Lauren. They have three children and three grandchildren all of who live in Somerset West, South Africa.
Dato’ Sri Idris Jala rose to national prominence when he accepted the appointment of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) in 2005.
Before joining MAS, Idris, who is from the Kelabit ancestry, was attached with a major oil company, SHELL since 1982, and held various key positions in SHELL, serving across different divisions and regions. In 2009, after bringing MAS back to profitability, he was appointed as Minister (Senator) in the Prime Minister’s Department and CEO of PEMANDU which drives the Government Transformation Programme and Economic Transformation Programme. Idris was also one of the students who had the opportunity to be part of the Bario Revival in the 1970s.
Philip Lyn is the senior pastor of Skyline SIB, in Malaysia. He is also a medical doctor who trained at Oxford and did biblical studies in London. He leads an unusual team of pastors who are fully bi-vocational and who combine ministry in the workplace and local church as one and the same calling.

He is married to Nancy and they have three children, one of whom is the miracle child, Sarah Lyn, whom God raised from the dead.
