The four Youth Alpha animations used on the Youth and Campus Alpha courses, are now available with subtitles! This means they can be used in a non-English setting, or where there are groups of mixed language speakers.
We have had an encouraging start to 2011. Many churches are inviting us to hold Alpha Sundays with them; the rate of course registrations across all Alpha Ministry Courses is increasing; The Parenting Course and The Parenting Teenagers Course are all-but ready for use;
More than 180 Alpha Ministry courses have so far been registered to start in 2011, with Selangor and Sabah having the largest number of courses registered.
Pastor Mark Conner of Citylife Church, Melbourne, Australia, visited Malaysia in March for a special leadership conference hosted by NECF and Alpha Malaysia called "Pastoring the Next Generation Church."
In October 2011, Alpha Malaysia will be hosting the Alpha Workplace Conference in Kota Kinabalu, with guest speakers Graham Power, Tan Sri Dato' Francis Yeoh, Dr. Dion Foster, Dato' Sri Idris Jala, Ps. Dr. Philip Lyn and Doug Spada.
In March the National Youth Alpha team trained young leaders at St. Mary's Cathedral in Sandakan to prepare them to run Youth Alpha, and the parish is now running its first course with about 30 guests!

WHERE HAVE WE COME FROM?
On 26 September 2009, The first Prison Alpha Course commenced for about 60 men in Bentong Prison. Two months later, the Women Block and the Death Row were opened for Alpha.

Alpha for me started with Cynthia Wong who was then a colleague of mine. On her last day at work (of course she did not tell me she’s leaving the company) I actually looked her up coincidentally and she told me she’s leaving a good job for a greater one.
